On Friday, February 10, at 15:00 GMT (16:00 CET), illumina will present its new RPIP (Respiratory Pathogen ID/AMR Enrichment Panel) panel in a live webinar with Robert Schlaberg (VP illumina) and Dr. Sébastien Boutin (microbiologist at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein).
In their own press release, they state that conventional microbiology methods have limited capabilities to detect and profile many of the causes of lower respiratory tract infections, next-generation sequencing (NGS) allows for early and accurate respiratory pathogen detection and improved AMR (Anti-Microbial Resistance) profiling.
The new Illumina Respiratory Pathogen ID and AMR Panel (RPIP) however, shall be a research use only metagenomics assay with high analytical sensitivity for identification of a wide range of respiratory pathogens and extensive AMR characterization.
Registration for the free webinar is available here.
